Showa 30 to 35cm from Marusei Koi Farm which is one of the largest Koi breeders in Japan, located in Kawaguchi, Nagaoka. The farm was founded by Seitaro Hirasawa in 1960 and is now managed by his son, Yoshiyuki Hirasawa.

The farm spans over an area of 100,000 m2 and boasts over 200 mud ponds. They have a similar amount of parent stock and produce over 200,000 Koi per year.

Marusei Koi Farm is known for breeding a variety of Japanese Koi, including Go Sanke, Kujaku, Kawarimono, and many other varieties1. Some of the most produced varieties at Marusei Koi Farm include Gosanke, Kin matsuba, Karashigoi, Hi- Utsuri, Chagoi, Benigoi, Mizuho Ogon, Asagi, Aka Matsuba, Shusui, and Yamabuki.

Yoshiyuki Hirasawa is focused on expanding his mud pond count and increasing the production rate of Koi. He is also working to develop and breed more varieties to add to his already flourishing busines
